Focus Group Videos
In an effort to get beyond raw test scores and understand the feelings and frustrations that eighth-grade students, their teachers and parents have toward algebra, The Math inquiries Project (MiP)® has conducted a series of richly insightful focus groups over the past three years. We have observed each session from behind a one-way mirror and looked into the participants' hearts as they talked-sometimes quite emotionally-about algebra and the various, often daunting, challenges it presents in their lives.
